About UJE

Over the years, UJE has become an inevitable stop for gastro tourists in Split. For more than a decade we have been more than a restaurant, we are a place to go to for all those who wish to experience authentic, traditional Dalmatian comfort food. UJE Oil bar is a haven for olive oil, wine and seafood enthusiasts.

Our restaurant now consists of seven rooms, each one honoring the traditions, culture and food of Dalmatia. Become a part of the unique and charming culinary experience in our UJE Oil bar spaces. Don't forget to take a peek inside our Gastro Shop which is also an olive oil tasting room where our knowledgeable hostess can introduce you to secrets of high quality olive oil and ways of distinguishing its characteristics and quality.

The Beginning

Founded by Leopold Botteri and Vedran Sucic, friends and partners since 1998. Uje Oil bar has grown from a charming backstreet location on Dominisova street into a unique Split meeting corner where you can create new memories and explore the authentic Dalmatian cuisine.

Our interior

The design of each interior is a combination of natural elements such as olive trees, a sacred tree of Mediterranean, carved steel with patina, jute art paintings and drawings inspired by Split, sea and olives. Warm fisherman lights and candles, combined with light music and outstanding wines and desserts, make nights especially romantic. Are you ready to experience it?

Fantastic hidden restaurant in the back streets of split. The food was beautiful we had the cuttle fish gnocchi and the baked fish with vegetables. The best seafood we’ve had in Europe so far.

Traditional cuisine is blended with street food which makes it creative and surprising.
